OMID-E-MEHR: empowering disadvantaged young women in Iran
In the United Kingdom we need volunteers to provide the following services free of charge:
- Administration:
- Scope of work: Administrative tasks, information processing, digital mailings, maintenance and improvement of mailing list.
- Qualifications: Computer skills, word processing, knowledge of 'Outlook' preferred, familiarity with internet.
- Auditing:
- Scope of work: Auditing the accounts of the UK charity on an annual basis.
- Qualifications: Practising UK based auditor or auditing firm.
- Fundraising:
- Scope of work: Identify and raise funds from potential funders (individual, corporate and institutional), grant writing, follow-up on grant applications, and preparation of progress reports for grantors.
- Qualifications: Fundraising experience, grant writing experience, familiarity with the organisational structure of major funding bodies like the United Nations and the European Commission preferred.
- Legal:
- Scope of work: Any and all legal work needed for a UK registered charity.
- Qualifications: Practising UK based lawyer.
- Marketing & PR:
- Scope of work: Awareness building, placement of editorial articles and programs in UK media, procurement of free advertising on the internet, improve visitations to website
- Qualifications: PR and marketing experience.
- Translation:
- Scope of work: Translation of reports and documents from Persian to English and English into Persian.
- Qualifications: Translation experience, excellent command of English and Persian.
- Website:
- Scope of work: Website maintenance, search engine optimisation and improvement of site visits and ranking.
- Qualifications: Relevant experience.
In Iran we need volunteers to provide the following services free of charge:

- Qualifications: Computer skills, word processing, familiarity with internet, spoken and written English and Persian.
- Corporate relations and job placement for our 'graduates':
- Scope of work: Networking with the corporate world in Iran for creating a 'corporate affiliate' program, in which each corporate affiliate is committed to provide a number of employment positions to our 'graduates'; monitoring of job performance of 'graduates' after job placement.
- Qualifications: Familiarity with and access to the corporate world in Iran.
- Fundraising:
- Scope of work: Identify and raise funds from potential funders (individual and corporate).
- Qualifications: Networking skills, familiarity with the Iranian corporate world.
- Legal:
- Scope of work: Any and all legal work needed for an Iran registered charity.

- Medical services:
- Scope of work: Attending to the medical needs (in all fields of medicine) of the women in our care.
- Qualifications: Practising physicians in all fields of medicine.
- Psychiatric counselling:
- Scope of work: Psychiatric counselling for the women in our care who are in need of counselling.
- Qualifications: Practising psychiatrist or therapist.
- Teaching:
- Scope of work: Teaching some of our core education or vocational training courses (English language, IT, accounting, architectural design and drafting, etc.).
- Qualifications: Certified teacher qualification.
- Translation:
- Scope of work: Translation of reports and documents from Persian to English and English into Persian.
- Qualifications: Translation experience, excellent command of English and Persian.

- Scope of work: Maintaining the accounts of the Code 501 (c)(3) that we hope to set up.
- Qualifications: Practising US based accountant.

- Qualifications: Practising US based auditor or auditing firm.
